Bluestone pavers are extremely hard wearing, but over time they’ll wear down and need a little care and attention. That’s where we come in.
There are two different ways we approach a Bluestone floor polish, as follows:
First of all we’ll removing any existing coatings, and then we’ll grind the surface down using coarse diamond segments, bonded in a metallic matrix. We’ll use progressively finer grades starting from 100, up to 3000 grit by the end of the process.
This approach begins with a mechanical grind of the floor, and then it’s deep cleaned with a heavy duty degreaser, and enzyme based products along with a high pressure wash. Then we’ll seal it to deliver an enhanced, wet look appearance, or a non-enhanced, natural stone finish. The choice is yours.
Absolutely, and you should give them a clean now and again. First remove all the dust and loose dirt with a good brush, and then mop them down. After that, use a product developed specifically for natural stone, even better if it’s specifically for Bluestone pavers. Follow the instructions carefully, don’t leave it on for too long and try not to avoid hot days. As the solution may dry into the floor, leaving it even worse than before!
When your cleaning efforts stop working however, just give us a call, and we’ll give your Bluestone floor a polish.
